Dog Walking & Pet Care in San Rafael
Flexible local care for busy households, workdays, and travel.
How we started walking dogs in San Rafael.
Paws & Play Marin began with a simple routine: regular walks for a few San Rafael dogs whose owners were stretched thin by long workdays. Over more than six years of dog-walking experience, that small circle grew into a trusted local relationship with pet families across the city's varied residential neighborhoods. We learned the rhythm of San Rafael mornings, the quieter side streets that make for a relaxed walk, and the way a dependable midday visit can change a dog's whole afternoon. Three years into running the business, that same hands-on, personal approach still shapes every visit. We never set out to be the biggest pet-care option in town—just the one owners feel genuinely comfortable handing the leash to.
Pet-care services we offer in San Rafael.
San Rafael pet families can choose from the full range of Paws & Play Marin services, all arranged around your schedule. Dog walking runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, giving your dog movement, outdoor time, and a reliable break in the day. Pet sitting keeps your pet cared for in familiar surroundings while you're away, with 24/7 service availability. Dog boarding offers a comfortable stay when you can't be there, and dog training supports better everyday communication, leash manners, and routines. Every service starts with a conversation about your pet's temperament, routine, and care directions—so the care you receive is built around your dog, not a one-size-fits-all template.
Why San Rafael owners choose Paws & Play Marin.
San Rafael pet owners choose us because the care feels personal and consistent rather than transactional. With more than six years of dog-walking experience behind the business, we know how to read a dog's energy, adjust to a new routine, and communicate clearly with owners about how the day went. Dependable communication means you're not left wondering whether the walk happened or how your pet is doing. Flexible options—walking, sitting, boarding, and training under one local relationship—mean you don't have to juggle multiple providers as your needs change. And because every arrangement begins with a real conversation about your pet, the care fits your dog's normal day instead of forcing your dog to fit a fixed schedule.
